July 2006 Archives

I can always tell when there is something I should have known about by watching my traffic stats. Apparently, I missed Marlie Casseus's third surgery on the 13th. There is more information about it on the International Kids Fund website.

Marlie suffers from a disease called Polyostotic Fibrous Dysplasia, which caused a tumor to overtake her face and threaten her ability to eat, drink , and breathe. Doctors led by Jesús Gómez D.D.S., a maxillofacial surgeon from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine recently completed the third surgery. Here is the most recent article I could find about Marlie.

Keep her in your prayers. In order to contriobute, go to the IKF site. (I assume they are legitimate, I really know nothing about them.)
